FIRST UNITED IN THE NEWS!

The weekend of February 11-13, 2011 was significant for the First United community:

  The front page of the San Francisco Chronicle featured an

  article stemming from an interview with Pastor Susan regarding

  First United's response and discernment process in reconciling with

  the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America--the national body that

  expelled First United in 1995--and the differences in that process

  from our sister congregation, St. Francis Lutheran. You can read the

  Then on Sunday, Feb. 13, KRON 4 News of San Francisco picked

  up the story and came to interview Pastor Susan and members of the

  congregation, and filmed the 5:00 pm worship service--a news

  segment appeared on Channel 4 that night.
