First United is blessed with musical artists!  Below are contributions from some of our members.  Special thanks go to Daniel Eickmann for recording engineering in his studio.

• Steal Away/Deep River; Nicole Bohn and Steve Johnson, vocals, Daniel Eickmann, guitar--African American Spirituals

• Balm in Gilead; Steve Johnson, guitar & vocal--African American Spiritual

• Give Me Jesus; Steve Johnson, guitar & vocal--African American Spiritual

• Psalm 104; Steve Johnson, guitar & vocal--music by Margaret Rizza

• Come to Us, Creative Spirit; music composed & performed by Steve Johnson, commissioned for First United's Mass of a United People

• Sanctus ("Holy, Holy, Holy") full orchestration

• Sanctus ("Holy, Holy, Holy") a cappella; this setting of the Sanctus was composed by Daniel Eickmann for First United's "Mass of a United People".

• Prayer of Jesus; this translation of the Prayer of Jesus was written by a First United Bible study group under the direction of Dr. Robert Smith.  Dan composed (and performs) this 2-voice arrangement.

• Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence; Daniel Eickmann, guitar--French folk tune of the 17th century

• O Jesulein süss, O Jesulein mild; friends of the congregation and former members John and Gioia perform as the Olson/De Cari Duo.  These gifted artists now live and perform in New York City.  You can read more about them at their website, www.olsondecariduo.com.
