Worship Assistants are needed every week!

If you wish to sign up for a worship assisting opportunity, click on the date you wish to assist for the signup form (at the right side of this page).   Positions still needed are listed under each date.

Tasks & Responsibilites explained:

Setup--arrive forty-five minutes before worship time and assist with setting up the communion, lectern, linens, chairs if needed

Greeter --arrive twenty minutes before worship time to greet people at the main doors of First Unitarian Church and direct them to the Chapel

Lector--the church office will send you the lessons during the week prior to Sunday; read over the lessons and check any uncertain words or pronunciations; arrive early enough (20 minutes before worship time) to prepare and "rehearse" if necessary

Intercessor--either provide your own prayers appropriate to the theme of the day, or use the provided prayers for that day in the worship folder

Youth Assistant --a young person who assists with communion as needed, either with distribution of grape juice or with communion wafers

Refreshments/Communion bread--provide light snacks or refreshments as you desire; arrive at least 20 minutes prior to worship time to set up the refreshment table; provide an appropriate loaf of bread (whole--not sliced) for the Eucharistic meal
